You may be thinking “of course I’m breathing well…..I’m still alive”
Most of us are very mistaken when we say this (the first part at least!). Yes you are alive…but are you ALIVE? If you asked each cell in your body and brain, would they tell you they are ALIVE or just alive? Are you giving your whole self every opportunity to be healthy and thrive?

Let’s do a little quiz:
Do you:
Feel breathless out of proportion with your fitness
Yawn a lot
Sigh a lot
Feel like you need to catch your breath
Hold your breath, especially while writing an urgent email, or responding to an urgent demand
Get short of breath when reading or talking
Breath through your mouth during the day
Breath through your mouth at night
Get breathless when you’re anxious
Feel like your breathing is shallow
Suffer with headaches
If you answered yes to any of these common symptoms, the cause may be that you have developed an incorrect breathing pattern.
“Our habits of thinking, feeling and behaviour are reflected in our habits of breathing that develop over time” - Dr Ela Manga.
Better breathing is one of the simplest ways to improve your health….immediately. And best of all, breathing is free (for most of us), it’s democratic and available equally to all of us. We need to return to what our bodies are craving and what they have been missing in our crazy world.
Breathing well is so much more than just taking in oxygen, and puffing out carbon dioxide. Your breathing effects EVERY cell and every system in your body!
“That you breathe is a matter of life and death….how you breath is a matter of sickness or health”
Join our breathing workshop the learn the what, when, where, why and how of effective breathing. There will be a little bit of anatomy and physiology, and a lot of practice. You’ll leave with simple strategies to include in everyday life.
Your body will thank you for it!
And because Naturally Grounded is all about our connection to nature, did you know that breathing is the one thing that connects us to all living beings. We all share the same air. Nine billion people are sharing our experience of breathing this very moment, along with all the animals, birds, insects, plants, moss, fish, microbes in the soil and sea. We are all breathing in one way or another.
